That British Love

From the mind of Joao Nsita comes That British Love—a sharp, hilarious, and surprisingly tender romantic dramedy that follows Marc, a lovestruck Texan with more heart than sense, as he chases Scarlett, the whip-smart Londoner who’s equal parts charmed and exasperated by his chaotic grand gestures.

What begins as a transatlantic flirtation over late-night Zoom calls and mutual Netflix binges explodes into a whirlwind cross-cultural romance when Marc impulsively flies to London to knock on Scarlett’s door—only to be met with raised eyebrows, sarcastic quips, and a healthy dose of British skepticism. But as their chemistry crackles through awkward silences, fake emergencies, and meddling best friends, they’re forced to confront whether love really can bridge an ocean, a culture gap, and their own stubborn pride.

Along the way, they’re flanked (and often sabotaged) by Dan—Marc’s foul-mouthed, Adele-loving, chaos-generating best friend—and a supporting cast of exes, nosy family members, and well-meaning (or not-so-well-meaning) coworkers. From breakups and makeups to pregnancy scares, green cards, and spontaneous trips to the London Eye, Marc and Scarlett’s journey is messy, real, and full of the kind of banter that only two people who drive each other crazy—and can’t live without each other—can share.

Spanning six emotionally charged episodes, That British Love evolves from a rom-com fantasy into a grounded exploration of compromise, commitment, fear, and the courage it takes to choose someone—even when it means uprooting your entire life.

Perfect for fans of Notting Hill, Crazy Rich Asians, and Normal People—if those shows were filtered through the snarky, heartfelt, and slightly unhinged lens of modern audio storytelling.

🎧 Now streaming on That Love Podcast—where love is messy, borders are blurry, and sometimes the boldest thing you can do is show up… even if you have no idea what you’re doing.

Episode 1:

In the premiere of That British Love, Marc leaves Texas for London in a bold, spontaneous move to win over Scarlett, a woman he’s only connected with online. Unfortunately, Scarlett’s not having it — until she kinda is. What follows is a rollercoaster of insults, sarcasm, and one tiny maybe. Will it be love or just the best mistake Marc’s ever made?

Episode 2:

After a rocky first meet-up, Episode Two finds Marc and Scarlett growing closer through flirty banter, personal confessions, and surprising vulnerability. But when Marc makes his move and Scarlett confesses she’s not exactly single, things get complicated — fast. A kiss changes everything, and now Scarlett must choose between comfort and chaos... or maybe love.

Episode 3:

Marc’s plan to get Scarlett back includes one part sweet confession, one part dumb lie, and three parts Dan ruining everything. When Scarlett confronts him about ghosting her for weeks, the truth (and a lot of not-truth) comes out. But just when it seems all hope is lost, Marc pulls one last romantic move — a trip back to Texas… together. Can this disaster duo survive each other long enough to become something more?

Episode 4:

Scarlett’s feeling insecure, Marc’s trying to play peacemaker, and Dan... is doing his usual emotional sabotage disguised as friendship. As Scarlett questions if she belongs in Marc’s life, Dan reveals just how much Marc truly loves her — in his own crass, beer-soaked way. Family drama, fake confidence, and one very awkward final kiss make this episode the funniest and most heartfelt yet.

Episode 5:
IIn Episode Five, things escalate quickly when Scarlett starts feeling sick, Marc panics, and Dan somehow becomes the voice of reason. Between confessionals, playful insults, and one very suspicious pregnancy test, everything is on the line. But through all the chaos, one thing becomes clear: love — no matter how dysfunctional — might just win out. Maybe. Possibly. Eventually.

Episode 6:

In Episode Six, we flash forward to Marc and Scarlett’s chaotic but love-filled life as new parents in Texas. Dan, still emotionally allergic to commitment, faces a make-or-break moment with Terri. Scarlett, as brutally honest as ever, delivers truth bombs and tea. And when a surprise engagement catches everyone off guard, it’s the perfect rom-com ending to a story that’s been anything but conventional. Hugs, insults, love confessions, and Marvel references — it’s all here.

That British Love features the voices of Marcus Brown, Emerson Peery, and Andrea Richardson. The series is written and produced by Joao Nsita and directed by Smurf Brown.
